Your first appointment

When you come for your first appointment, it would be helpful if you could be prepared with a note of your name and address, the name and address of your husband or wife, children and dates of birth, date of marriage, date of separation and a list of all your major assets and liabilities together with copies of the marriage certificate and the children's birth certificates.

This will reduce the amount of time needed to gather information and increase the amount of time which can be spent advising you.

We also aim to advise you on your best course of action and likely costs involved, although in some cases it may be necessary to discover more of the background to the matter, and the likely reactions of others, before that can be done accurately.
